“Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
Matthew 5 14-16
In the midst of a world that is continuing to grow worse and worse, we as believers have to continue to be on guard about our lights. We should constantly remind ourselves not to dim them or turn them off in a time where it is needed the most. Many around us are looking for answers but seemingly they just go with what they see. That is why it is most important for us not to shut our mouths or even venture off into the cares of this world.
I thank the Father for the experiences that continue to occur, subsequently building character within me. A lot of times, I do not get everything right, but, one thing for sure is that I will never turn my back on Him. Numerous times he has allowed Grace to move in my life which gave way for good things to happen. So, why should we as believers want to neglect the very One who has given us our own light/answers? In doing so, not only do we hinder ourselves, but those that are around us. We are to lead by example praying for one another in a nation that seemingly is looking for answers to everything.
Having said that, this reminds me that family is the most important thing that you can have at this time. Continuing to love one another, praying for one another, and simply enjoying the time you have here on Earth with them. As a whole, being able to showcase that love in unity is a blessing to those who may have dysfunction within their own home. Unknowingly, just by you spreading that light, you could be the glue to a situation that you can’t see. I pray that we as believers continue to love and pray with one another; always ready on our posts for Yeshua’s return. Until that time, let’s continue to light the way for others around us so that they are no longer lost.
