Rejoice

Min. Misti Sawyer

The world will and is celebrating a New Year.  There are probably 100s of memes and gifs out there about the end of 2020.  Holy Spirit simply gave me this word this morning, Rejoice.

Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. Philippians 4:4 KJV

Many will look back at 2020 and see it as one of the worst years, but our Father is always faithful to His children.  Yes, this year has been hard, and chaos has seemingly surrounded us on every side. However, if you’re reading this, then your Father brought you through this seemingly chaotic year.  We can’t allow the world to dictate where our focus rests.  We can either look back at 2020 and celebrate a year of bad being over, as the world is celebrating, or we can look back at 2020 and rejoice in our Father over His faithfulness and love for His children.  Jesus is still Lord no matter what is happening in this world.  I personally am rejoicing that no matter what I faced or will face in the future, that the love of Yeshua, my Lord, will never fail nor leave me.  I am rejoicing that I woke up this morning when many did not.  I am rejoicing that I know no matter what I face or are in need of, that My Father is my provider and will take care of me.  Don’t enter 2021 celebrating in bitterness that 2020 is over; enter 2021 rejoicing in our Father and all that Yeshua, Jesus has done for us.

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?  36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.  37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.  38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:35-39 KJV

We have all faced a lot through 2020. Some of us even lost loved ones. I am in no way down playing this.  I can, however, reassure you that no matter what you faced our Father was and still is right there with you.  Rejoice today, because His love for us is never ending, and He will continue to see His children through until the day we get to fully enter into His glory.
