I recently read a post that simply said, “God heard your prayer; now trust His timing.” This simple statement really hit my heart as I reflected on my life. I remembered getting a phone call concerning foreclosure on my home, as at the time we were two or three months behind. I prayed and as I mentioned in another blog, this was during a time when I was seeking our Father and digging into His Word daily; I was so at peace. Our Father provided the money through someone we least expected, and without me ever having to ask. Needless to say, we didn’t lose our home. I also remembered a time when things were terrible in our marriage, and after praying and begging God to save it, I leaned toward the decision of divorce. The following day, after I had gone to the Father in repentance, it seemed that he repaired my marriage immediately.
I remembered being pregnant with our fourth child, and I decided to allow my body to go into labor naturally. It was my prayer that my husband would be available once I went into labor, given that we did not know the time or day of our baby’s arrival. I woke up in labor on a morning when my husband would have normally been an hour away, but unexpectedly the job had been canceled. In addition to that, my mother was very ill with Covid-19. I was praying for her healing, and while I wanted it to be immediate, she later shared with me the intimate times she had with our Father during that time.
Furthermore, I could go on and on with many other personal stories, but I simply wanted this to be an encouragement today. Our Father hears and has heard your prayers. We don’t always know or understand why it seems that some prayers take so long to be answered, but we have to remember that our Father is all-knowing. He sees the bigger picture, while we can only see what is right in front of us. Our Father is so faithful and He loves us more than we could ever imagine. Remember, it’s through the hardships that we grow the most, and if we allow ourselves to be stretched, we will reach a new state of maturation. Trust His timing in your life. I know from experience that one day you will realize that our Father heard your prayers, and when they come to fruition in his timing, it brings so much fulfillment. When you go to Him with a pure heart, trust that he will meet your needs according to His will for your life.
1 John 5:14-15
14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: 15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
