Naked, Not Ashamed

Minister Joseph Shepherd

The Lord has been giving us a steady flow of Spiritual insight as to what is happening in the world. Here recently, Texas banned abortions after 6 weeks of pregnancy. Many Americans ran towards their nearest social media platform to iterate how distasteful it was to them. The world, and some even in the church, have turned their nose up to God and blamed him for these things. When in reality, man created this with their own wicked schemes/plots. They blamed God when the things that they prayed for did come to pass; assuming that he is withholding blessings as punishment. While the masses are in uproar, contradicting the scripture posted on their social media, it’s important we stand on our square in this season.

For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel’s will save it. For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul? For what can a man give in return for his soul? For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him will the Son of Man also be ashamed when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.”

Mark 8:35-38

It hurts to see a world that continues to flip a finger or turn its nose up at the very person who allowed them to be on this Earth. It hurts to see professing believers join in with the world to continuously mock the Father; always finding a reason to murmur. You see this and can’t help but to assume that’s one scripture they apparently ripped out of the bible to ignore. Having said that, we should not be the ones as believers to turn away from them, but pray for them. When they are ready to turn to the Lord, be the brother/sister who is ready to aid in their walk. I pray that we continue to be spiritually minded about the things we encounter in our lives as well as what is going on around us.

I pray that something I have said has blessed you and that you remain in prayer for our country today. Let’s showcase the light that the Father has instilled in us, and don’t hide it under a bushel. I pray that you have an awesome day. Amen!
