1Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth. 2My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distill as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass: 3Because I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God. 4He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.
Deuteronomy 32:1-4 KJV
A few mornings ago, the Lord placed this title in my head for this blog only knowing a little of what to talk about, but not knowing where to begin. It started when one afternoon. I received some news that made me a little worried for a brief moment. As carnal emotions tried to arise, I instantly rebutted any fear that crept in, and I begin to pray. It didn’t make sense because the thing that was recently given to me was prophesied to me. So, as I began to pray, the Lord began speaking to me, and Deuteronomy 32: 1-4 came to mind.
Our foundation should always remain on Elohim! If we don’t find comfort knowing that he is our backbone, we would always be fearful. We would be in fear of any obstacle that may come our way. This is why praying, fasting, and continuously reading our Word are many ways for us to polish that rock we stand on. Every rock is unique and no two are alike. Weathering and erosion will happen to all of us in various ways. However, that doesn’t stop us from being a rock if our foundation is set. Sure, you may have more month than money, the same food in the pantry, or people at work are acting funny. For those of us in Christ, brothers and sisters, we are to remain holy at all times.
18And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock, I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Matthew 16:18-19 KJV
Jesus told Peter that the foundation that He would establish was founded on the Kingdom of Heaven. Regardless of what may come up or may be around you, what we are built on is what we are. We are to continue to build on this rock and help others we encounter build theirs as well by being helpers one to another and understanding that we are all to boldly proclaim Yeshua as our savior!
